Your first session will last around 90 minutes - half an hour longer than a standard session. This allows for initial Consultation before we begin, where we will complete a health and wellbeing questionnaire, sign consent forms and answer any questions you may have. We also set intentions at the beginning of every session.

Reiki can help improve your emotional wellbeing, sleep quality, promotes mental clarity, relaxation, stress reduction, and often clients report relief of physical pain. The most common difficulties my clients present with are anxiety, depression, poor sleep, stress, physical pain, and looking for chakra re-alignment (balancing of your body's energy centres).

We have a discussion and set our intentions for each session before you get comfortable.

Normally, you will lie down on the Reiki bed. You will remain fully clothed, under a blanket if you wish to get cosy. The atmosphere will promote deep relaxation with ambient sounds, scents and low lighting. I will spend time channelling universal healing energy by placing my charged hands on or near your body and holding them in each position for a while. I will tailor the energy channelled for each individual's needs. Reiki can be entirely contactless - although you will feel the heat through my hands into your body, even through a blanket. During the session, you may feel sleepy, see flashing colours, overall you should feel calm and peaceful.

There is no set number, every client is different. Some of my clients have reported benefits after only 1 session, others enjoy the support and healing that Reiki offers on a more regular basis.

At the moment, no. I offer Reiki sessions in my studio at Bank Close in Galashiels, or I can send you Distance Reiki at a mutually agreeable time.
